MADISON (WKOW) — Children across Madison celebrated faiths of all kinds Monday in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
First Congregational UCC, in conjunction with Beth Israel Center, Madinah Academy of Madison, and Madison Christian Community, hosted Madison area first through eighth graders for a day of faith, service, education, and celebration.
Sixty kids from nine Madison area faith communities, including Jewish, Muslim, and Christian, gathered at First Congregational Church for a day of workshops and service projects designed to celebrate the life and work of Dr. King, build bridges and community among people of different faiths.
