Shahid Ahmad

Hello! I’m a rising Senior majoring in Political Science. I was raised in a conservative Islamic household. My upbringing was shaped by Islamic values of humility and kindness, though I consider myself quite liberal outside of those tenets. My journey has guided me to challenge stereotypes often attributed to Muslims because they impacted me, and in some cases, still do. I want to advocate for inclusivity, particularly through initiatives like the Interfaith Fellows Program. During my tenure as a fellow, I want to deepen my understanding of different religious traditions and foster unity on campus. I’m also excited to improve interfaith communications skills and add to a more harmonious and empathetic campus environment where all students feel valued and acknowledged.
