The University of Wisconsin-Madison has suspended all in-person classes and events until April 10 due to our current public health emergency. The ongoing crisis effects our planned programming for spring semester, including our Interdisciplinary Religion Group and our Interfaith Fellows’ meetings, meaning we may or may not be able to host another interfaith event this semester.
Our priority is in ensuring the safety of our community, our nation, and our world. We encourage you to practice social distancing, which has been proven to limit the spread of the virus.
We also emphasize that this issue is not the fault of or specific to any ethnicity or race. Racist behaviors and stereotyping are unacceptable. If you experience harassment or discrimination, in-person or virtually, you are encouraged to file a bias incident report. We offer our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this crisis, and reiterate our commitment to working across difference to address difficult issues.
